Army counters NPA claims
Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City – The statement of the NPA spokesman in
Mindanao is another figment of imagination that aims to excuse their
failures and continuous dwindling of strength.
Based on AFP records, their strength of 2,035 has gone down to 1,691 followers this year.
Out of the 547 NPA-influenced barangays, it is now down to 413.
On firearms count, they lost 101 firearms this year.
The most significant decline was their 29 guerrilla fronts which are now down to 24, contrary to exaggerated 46 fronts as being claimed by the NPA spokesman of Mindanao.
This claim further negates the fact that they lost one of their key leaders this year in the person of Leoncio Pitao, alyas Commander Parago.
Wherever he got his number, he is now accountable to his boss in the Netherlands. #
