Army’s hosts Project BOSS

FORT BONIFACIO, Taguig City – The project B.O.S.S. or Brotherhood Operation Sweet Smile, a non-government organization supported by the Philippine Army is set to conduct free surgical mission to adult and children with cleft lip/palate on March 9 to 11 at Army General Hospital here. 

His Excellency President Benigno S Aquino III, members of the Quirino family, National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) officials, local government officials, invited cabinet members and politicians, youth and students and other sectors in the community are expected to attend the re-internment ceremony.


A brigade-size ceremonial element composed of personnel from the Philippine Army, Philippine Air force and Philippine Navy will render full military honors during the re-internment ceremony.
The remains of the late Pres. Quirino is expected to arrive, 11 a.m. at the LNMB.

Around 1,300 military personnel, ROTC cadets and reservists will also line-up on both sides along Bayani Road going to the entrance gate of the LNMB during the funeral motorcade of the remains of the late President Quirino.

Meanwhile, a battalion-size arrival honor will also be accorded to President Aquino upon his arrival at LNMB with Lt. Gen. Romeo P. Tanalgo, the Vice Chief of Staff, Armed Forces of the Philippines as the military host.

The re-internment ceremony will coincide with the commemorative event to mark the 60th death anniversary of Pres. Elpidio P. Quirino in the evening of February 29 at the Philippine Center, New York City.
The LNMB serves as a resting place for Filipino soldiers, Presidents, Dignitaries, national artists/scientists/boy scouts, and thousands of soldiers who perished in the Second World War and Korean War. #
