IMT to Bangsamoro: No BBL is not end of process

Trying to comfort the Bangsamoro people from frustration brought by the Philippine Congress’ failure to pass the Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL), a member of the International Monitoring Team (IMT) said the non-passage of the measure does not mean the end of everything and stressed “It is not the end of the peace process.”
“We, the International Monitoring Team (IMT), really recognized that the peace process between the Government of the Philippines (GPH) and the MILF (Moro Islamic Liberation Front) now is experiencing difficult situation after the non-passage of the BBL,” Col. Elphis Rudy, IMT Team Site 4 leader, said in his written message, read by his colleague, for the participants of a Provincial Assembly on Peace and Security.

Marcoses’ road back to power was paved by US and post-EDSA regimes

The growing clamor against the vice-presidential bid of Ferdinand “Bongbong”Marcos Jr. in the May 2016 reactionary elections reflects the Filipino people’s discontent over the continuing failure of the ruling classes’ to put to justice the Marcoses and their cronies for all the crimes perpetrated during the Marcos 1972-1986 fascist dictatorship.

The Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) fully supports the campaign
initiated by national democratic activists and groups against the
vice-presidential campaign of Marcos Jr. Many of them suffered from the
brutalities of the Marcos fascist dictatorship. They stand on firm and just
grounds in opposing Marcos Jr.’s bid to return to Malacañang.
