The terrorist Duterte regime

Rodrigo Duterte has recently threatened to unleash his military’s air power against the New People’s Army (NPA),

dismissing the possibility of civilian casualties as “part of the territory.” On August 27, his soldiers launched an aerial strike near a Lumad school in Talaingod, Davao del Norte while students were playing outside of their classrooms. 

It was not the first time for Duterte to declare his contempt for the rights, welfare and safety of civilians. He had earlier ordered aerial bombings to “level the hills” and threatened to bomb the Lumad schools.

In Marawi, he made good his threat of using deadly air strikes against his perceived enemies, razing the city to the ground and causing up to a thousand civilian casualties, according to independent sources. 

Under Duterte, the human rights watchdog Karapatan has reported a total of 356,964 individuals victimized by aerial bombings and artillery attacks.

President Duterte renews call for peace with NPA

DAVAO CITY – President Rodrigo Roa Duterte renews his call to end the government’s dispute with the New People’s Army (NPA) to achieve lasting peace in Mindanao as he graced the 12th anniversary of the Eastern Mindanao Command (EASTMINCOM) on Thursday, August 23, at the Naval Forces Eastern Mindanao (NFEM) in Panacan, Davao City.

“Life isn’t that easy. Life has to evolve, and progress and development can’t be rushed through a revolution. If you’re always calling for revolution and killing people, nothing good will happen to our nation,” President Duterte said.

The Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) was founded on December 26, 1968 as the revolutionary party of the Filipino proletariat and people under the guidance of Marxism-Leninism-Maoism (MLM) in order to continue the unfinished revolution started by the Katipunan in 1896 and to fight for national liberation and democracy against US imperialism and the local reactionary classes of big compradors, landlords and bureaucrat capitalists.

Stakeholders engage in Writeshop to come up with document for Bangsamoro Normalization Program

Cotabato City- Peace stakeholders gathered in Pasig City yesterday and engaged in a writeshop aimed at producing the program document for the Normalization Program in the Bangsamoro.

GPH Peace Implementing Panel Chair Nabil Tan said that, “Crafting the program document will hopefully set the modalities and parameters in executing the programs, thus providing us with uniformity, consistency, and timeliness in our actions,” a report by OPAPP said.

FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila – The Philippine Army through the 53rd Infantry “Matapat” Battalion, 1st Infantry “Tabak” Division launched the solar energy project in partnership with the Tarlac Heritage Foundation and the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency in the island Barangay of Ticala, San Pablo, Zamboanga del Sur today, August 11, 2018.

The Commanding General, Philippine Army, Lt. Gen. Rolando Joselito D. Bautista led the inauguration along with Maj. Gen. Roseller G. Murillo, Commander of 1^st Infantry Division, Col Bagnus P. Gaerlan Jr., Commander of 102^nd Infantry Brigade, Dra. Isa Cojuangco Suntay, Co-Founder of Tarlac Heritage Foundation and Mr. Yesim Baktir, Director of Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency.

A massacre and not an encounter took place in Antique

NO ENCOUNTER took place at Atabay, San Jose, Antique at midnight on August 15, 2018. It was A MASSACRE planned and executed by the criminal and fascist 301st Bde, 61st IB, Antique PMF and San Jose PNP. More blood is on the hands of the fascist mercenary military and police in Panay.

The brutal massacre of our education and propaganda staff has just reached the office of the CPP and NDF-Panay. They are legitimate personnel of the office of the CPP and NDF in Panay, they are NOT ARMED AND NON-COMBATANTS. They have been conducting researches and investigations concerning the situation of the people in different areas of Panay, not for the purpose of fighting nor to launch tactical offensives but in order to deeply and concretely study the problems and concerns of the masses in the region.
