The Romeo Nanta Command (RNC-NPA) spurned the claim of the Himamaylan Philippine National Police (PNP) and the 2nd Negros Occidental Mobile Police Force Company (NOMPFC) regarding the apprehension of a ‘unit militia leader under the supervision of the command’ on November 24. In a statement released Tuesday, the RNC-NPA clarified that the victim was a mere farmer, only known by ‘Rafael’, residing in Sitio Maglantay, Barangay Caradio-an, Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental.
According to Dionesio Magbuelas, RNC-NPA spokesperson, initial reports from various witnesses showed that the victim was planted with the firearm as evidence before being arrested by the police.
Magbuelas added further that Rafael was already a ‘forced surrenderee’, and was ‘most likely targeted by reactionary government troops due to failure of providing meaningful intel data regarding the revolutionary movement’.
“This only shows how inutile the E-CLIP of the NTF-Elcac is. As what has been reiterated by the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP)-NPA-National Democratic Front (NDF), the bogus and corrupt program is only used to force civilians into a corner, with the government claiming to ‘aid’ them while truthfully forcing them to become agents and throwing them under the bus when they are no longer purposeful,” Magbuelas noted.
Magbuelas warned all remaining assets that they will suffer the same fate, especially now that the AFP and PNP are shifting its focus towards the inter-imperialist war, and are desperate to fill their quota by year end to maintain the illusion of a dismantled guerilla front.
