FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila - At around
12pm today, an abandoned red motorcycle was parked at the gate of the
Philippine Army Wellness Center along Lawton Avenue and Fort Bonifacio,
Taguig.
As part of precautionary measures,
soldiers from the Military Police Battalion immediately cordoned the
area while military working dogs of the K9 Battalion were deployed to
determine if there were explosives attached to the said motorcycle. In
compliance with the protocol, the explosives and ordnance units of the
Philippine National Police and the Philippine Army conducted water
disruption on the motorcycle as soon as the bomb-sniffing dogs indicated
that traces of explosives could be present. There was no explosion as a
result of the water disruption.
