CGPA lauds 9ID's successful operation in Sorsogon
FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila – The Commanding General
Philippine Army lauded the success of the joint operation of the 22nd
Infantry Battalion and 31st Infantry Battalion under 903rd Infantry
Brigade of the 9th Infantry Division and Sorsogon Police Provincial
Office in Sta. Magdalena, Sorsogon on October 5, 2021.
On September 30, the government troops seized 292 pieces
of blasting caps and an M16 rifle in Barangay Cawayan, Irosin, also in
Sorsogon.
Lt. Gen. Andres C. Centino, the Commanding General
Philippine Army, lauded the Army and PNP units involved in the
successful operation for their prompt response to the report of
concerned citizens.
"Congratulations to the troops of 22nd Infantry
Battalion and 31st Infantry Battalion under 903rd Infantry Brigade of
the 9th Infantry Division and PNP Sorsogon for your operational gains
against the CPP-NPA Terrorists in Sorsogon. Continue building a good
relationship with the people, for their role is as important as ours in
pursuing true peace," said Lt. Gen. Centino. #
