Mariing kinukundena ng NDFP-ST ang karumal-dumal na pamamaslang ng 2nd Infantry Battalion Philippine Army (IBPA) kina Pedro Regala, 78, at Florencia Regala, 67, sa Barangay Toboran, Cawayan, Masbate noong Pebrero 5. Sila ay dinukot mula sa kanilang tahanan, dinala sa lilblib na lugar, at pagkatapos paulit-ulit na pagbabarilin ay tinamnan ng armas para palabasing NPA.
