 GENERAL SANTOS CITY -The Sangguniang Panlunsod (SP) of this town was recognized on Tuesday (April 5, 2022) by the General Santos City Muslim Religious Advisory Council (GSC MRAC), a group of Ulama (Muslim religious scholars), for its contributions to the Muslim communities through its programs and initiatives.

Gov’t anti-insurgency efforts ‘work in progress’: PRRD

MANILA – Despite acknowledging the achievements in the government’s anti-insurgency efforts,

President Rodrigo Roa Duterte on Thursday said the journey towards dismantling communist-terrorist groups in the country remains a "work in progress.”

Speaking during the joint meeting between the National Task Force and Regional Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-RTF-ELCAC) in Region 7 (Central Visayas) in Lapu-Lapu City, he commended the NTF- and RTF-ELCAC for collectively realizing the government’s “holistic and whole-of-the-nation approach” in resolving communist insurgency.

“Your serious efforts to deliver the basic services in conflict-affected areas truly helped in bringing the government closer to the Filipino people,” he said.

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City - Filipino and American service members successfully completed the Combined Arms Live Fire Exercises (CALFEX) at Colonel Ernesto Ravina Air Base in Capas, Tarlac on Thursday, March 31.

Fascist onslaught on the people of Himamaylan

Last March 27, 2022 troops belonging to 94th IB of Philippine Army mercilessly set ablaze the house of farmer Raffy Dayupan in Sitio Camuag, Barangay Carabalan, Himaymaylan City, Negros Occidental.

It took place two days after an armed clash between the 94th IB and Red Fighters from the Mount Cansermon Command (MCC), wherein the 94th IB sustained casualties.
