Flynn highlighted the importance of bilateral training exercises with the Philippine Army during his joint presser with Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Roy M. Galido at the Headquarters Philippine Army, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City on April 29, 2024.

Kinundena ng Human Rights Advocates in Negros (HRAN) ang pag-aresto ng mga elemento ng 79th IB at 1st Negros Occidental Provincial Mobile Force Company sa menor-de-edad na magkapatid na edad 16 at 17 sa Sityo Humayan, Barangay Pinowayan, Don Salvador Benedicto noong Abril 25. Ipinaparada ngayon ng 79th IB ang dalawa bilang mga naarestong “batang mandirigma” ng Bagong Hukbong Bayan (BHB). Inaresto rin kasama nila ang isang kaanak na nakatatanda. (Para sa kagalingan ng mga bata, sadyang hindi tinutukoy ang kanilang pangalan.)
