Troops Recover NPA Firearms in Bukidnon
NSFA, Davao City - The
soldiers from the 1st Special Forces Battalion recovered one (1) M16
rifle and a cal .45 pistol after a 20 minutes firefight with the
extortion unit of the CPP-NPA in Sitio Kalanganan, San Vicente, Bukidnon
Province around 5:00 a.m., June 3.
The villagers in the area reported to
the soldiers the presence of NPA who were on extortion activities. One
(1) Soldier was wounded in a clash but he is now in good condition.
EASTMINCOM Commander Lt. Gen. Ricardo
Rainier G. Cruz III directed all military commanders in the area to
continue its operations against the extortion and arson units of the
CPP-NPA-NDF. “There is no let up against these criminals. We are
supporting the PNP in their law enforcement operations”. Lt. Gen Cruz
said.
