CSAFP Joins Asia-Pacific Ministerial Conference for Disaster Risk Reduction Opening Ceremony
Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Chief of Staff General Romeo S Brawner Jr, joined the Opening Ceremony of the Asia-Pacific Ministerial Conference for Disaster Risk Reduction (APMCDRR) held today at the Philippine International Convention Center, Pasay City.
This year’s conference, themed, “Surge to 2030: Enhancing Ambition in Asia-Pacific to Accelerate Disaster Risk Reduction,” hosted by the Philippines, serves as a platform for stakeholders of various sectors across the Asia-Pacific to share strategies, innovations, and best practices to address the growing challenges posed by climate change and natural disasters.
The event reflects the AFP's role in national disaster response and recovery efforts, emphasizing the military's commitment to supporting national and regional initiatives aimed at enhancing disaster preparedness.
