Terorismo ng AFP sa Aurora, nagpapatuloy

 Isinusuka ng mamamayan ng Aurora ang mga pwersang militar ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) sa nagpapatuloy na teroristang operasyong kombat nito sa nagdaang buwan. Simula Mayo 20, walang-tigil ang mga operasyon nito sa mga barangay ng Maria Aurora at Dipaculao. Humihimpil sila sa mga barangay hall at eskwelahan sa gitna ng mga sibilyang populasyon, na tahasang paglabag sa internasyunal na makataong batas.

Kinukundena namin ang dumadalas na tangkang pagpaslang, panghaharas at pananakit ng mga sundalo ng reaksyunaryong gobyerno sa mga sibilyan tuwing nasa operasyon ang AFP/PNP laluna kapag nakakasagupa nila ang NPA.

Kaninang alas-6 ng umaga, matapos makasagupa ang isang yunit ng NPA sa Brgy. Sangat, Gubat, hinalughog at binantaang pasasabugin ng mga sundalo ang bahay ng residenteng si Purisima Hapa. Si Hapa ay isang senior citizen at magsasaka na nakatira malapit sa pinangyarihan ng engkwentro. Ninakaw ng mga sundalo sa kanyang tirahan ag dalawang sundang at cash na P400. Ninakawan din ng mga alagang manok si Rolly Estolas, magsasaka at nakatira malapit din sa pinangyarihan.

Cotabato City – A social protection program being implemented by the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) in partnership with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), is being enhanced to strengthen social protection in the region, Philippine News Agency said in its report, October 13.

A series of filing of trumped-up charges against Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) Founding Chairman and National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP) Chief Political Consultant Jose Maria Sison has been mounted and directed by the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) the past weeks. Other peasant and social activists have also been maliciously implicated in these cases.

Voting 15-3-1, the Senate approved Monday, on third and final reading Senate Bill 2214 or “An Act Resetting the First Regular Elections in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, Amending, for the Purpose, Section 13, Article XVI of Republic Act 11054, Otherwise Known as the Organic Law for the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao,” a Mindanews report said Monday.

MANILA – The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) on Friday said it has filed

another criminal case against Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) founder Jose Maria "Joma" Sison and another communist cadre before the Department of Justice (DOJ) earlier this week.

"Another case for violations of Section 3 in relation to Sec 3(a)(b) of RA 9208 as amended by RA 10364 and Section 4(i) of RA 10364 (Expanded Ant-Trafficking in Person of 2012), and of Section 10 (a) in relation to Section 3(d) (4) of RA 7610 (Special Protection of Children against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Acts) was filed on September 1, 2021, at about 10:30 a.m. before the DOJ in Manila docketed under NPS Docket No. XVI-INV-21I-00280," CIDG chief Maj. Gen. Albert Ignatius Ferro said in a statement.

Both sides agreed to hold secret backchannel talks as early as the first week of February. For some reason, these have been delayed till now. In this regard, we have kept our end of the bargain not to reveal the plans or issue any statement that would upset these. 

 The objective of the backchannel is to bring about the continuation of the talks in order to hold the scheduled fourth round in April to discuss important matters, including JASIG, CASER and CAPCR. The release of the POWs has been approved in a statement by the revolutionary leadership on 27 February. Discussions have been going on since between third party peace facilitators and the GRP Panel.

The POWs should have been released as early as 2 March but arrangements on their safe and orderly release, as well as those of the third party peace facilitators, local government officials, ICRC representatives and the custodial forces, have still to be worked out.

Third round in GRP-NDFP negotiations in Rome opens on optimistic note
Speaking in behalf of the RNG, Ambassador to the Philippines Erik Førner and Special Ambassador to the Philippines Peace Process Elisabeth Slattum, congratulated the Parties in the negotiations for their commitment and hard work in the previous two rounds and assured both sides of the RNG’s continuing support to the GRP-NDFP peace negotiations saying that “we are here for the long haul.”

In his opening statement, NDFP Chief Political Consultant Jose Maria Sison laid out the over-all perspective of the NDFP on the prospects and likely course of the peace talks.

He said, “I continue to declare that the two negotiating panels can negotiate in a non-adversarial way and overcome any obstacle by addressing the roots of the armed conflict and seeking to satisfy the demands of the people for basic social, economic and political reforms in order to lay the foundation of a just and lasting peace and build a Philippines that is truly independent, democratic, just, prosperous and progressive.”

Samar. Mahigit 3,000 masang magsasaka, kababaihan, kabataan at mga alyado mula sa walong bayan sa Northern Samar ang dumalo sa idinaos na selebrasyon. Sa pangunguna ng Rodante Urtal Command at komiteng seksyon ng Partido sa saklaw na mga klaster ng mga baryo, naisakatuparan ang pagdiriwang ng anibersaryo at natiyak ang mga pangangailangan ng mga dumalo sa aktibidad. Umabot sa isang batalyong milisyang bayan ang napakilos para tiyakin ang seguridad sa erya at koordinasyon sa kalapit na baryo.

Muslim Youth Leaders conferred to redirect programs to Peace Building

A total of 69 different youth leaders from 20 different Youth Organizations comprising the Union of Muslim Youth Organizations (UMYO) gathered and conferred for Muslim Youth Leaders Peace Conference at Nursalam Hall, Alnor Complex, Cotabato City last January 1, 2017. 

The program was also participated by youth leaders from Integrated Muslim Youth Federation (IMYF) of Davao City and Office of Bangsamoro Youth Affairs (OBYA) -ARMM. The activity was branded as "You Turn" with the theme: "Look back the Past, Know the Present, and Prepare for Future."

Malisbong Massacre documentary film presented on Int’l Human Rights Day

A documentary film that depicts the horrifying experiences of Moro villagers of Malisbong in Palimbang, Sultan Kudarat Province from the hands of government forces during the Martial Law years was presented on Friday (Dec 9) for public viewing at Shariff Kabungsuan Cultural Center in ORC Compound in Cotabato City in observance of the International Human Rights Day.

The film entitled "Forbidden Memory: the greatest Marcos horror story never told" was directed by multi-awarded Moro filmmaker Teng Mangansakan, II.

CPP welcomes scrapping all US war exercises under Duterte

The Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) welcomes the statement last night of GRP President Duterte declaring that war exercises to be conducted next week by US military forces will be the last.

In a speech before Filipinos in Hanoi, Vietnam, Duterte declared “I will serve notice to you now, that this will be the last military exercise, jointly Philippines-US, the last one.”
