Reynaldo Agcopra, alias “Tarik,” an alleged member of the communist New People’s Army (NPA), was arrested in a joint police-military operation in Barangay (village) Aposkahoy on Saturday, according to Supt. Ronnie Francis Cariaga, police spokesperson in northern Mindanao. Agcopra has been the subject of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Mirabeau A. Undalok of the regional trial court in Gingoog. Guingona, wife of former Vice President Teofisto Guingona Jr. and mother of Sen. Teofisto “TG” Guingona III, survived an NPA ambush in Barangay Binakalan in Gingoog on April 20, less than a month before the 2013 synchronized national and local elections. Two of her civilian bodyguards, however, were killed in the attack. Bobby Lagsa, Inquirer Mindanao
